Execution that I worked directly
This was an internal project. So, all of the tasks should follow a development methodology stated by the company. The first step of this methodology was to record the application to be developed in a tracking system. I entered the necessary information in the tracking system and I began the conception phase.
I did conference calls to gather the requirements. I documented the conclusions of the meetings and defined the main characteristics of the application. I sized the effort and cost of the project.
We obtained the approval for the schedule and cost. After that we started the development phase performing the following tasks:
I created Host on-Demand macros. The objective was to query the user identification and password. After that the macro would automatically enter the necessary commands to execute the requested application.
-
I created an Applet with digital certificate that had a button. If the user clicked on the button than the Applet communicated with the Notes to open the required application.
-
I created Intranet pages according to internal look and feel demanded by the company.
-
I coordinated the contacts with the sales department personnel.
-
I attended the required regular meetings for internal developments. This was a English spoken calls.
-
I regularly updated the internal systems to indicate the progress. At the end of the project I requested the function points counting and consequent registration in the corresponding system.
Execution that I did not worked directly
A program was created in Perl to generate a dynamic page. Through this dynamic page, the user was able to configures which links and which applications he wants to see when he returns to the application
A program was created to automatically verify each of the applications to know if they are still available.
