Lessons learned
I had the opportunity to have a deep insight of the Sabrix Managed Tax Service product. I study and reproduced their installation procedures, configuration, how they update the taxes information, and how they maintain the cache synchronized between the servers using jGroup libraries.
I improved my knowledge of Rational Functional Tester product by analyzing their advanced features and product restrictions.
I studied and learned other products and library to replace RFT like actiWATE from a company with the same name (www.actiwate.com comp), the use jGroup library and HTTPUnit functionalities. I also studied different open source XML and compression libraries in C++.
I had the opportunity to practice the use of the problem management tool.
I learned how to use Ration Performance Tester to validate WebServices.
I acquired knowledge of advanced WebSphere Application Server configurations through access to the console on a cluster environment.
I had the opportunity to practice and improve my English skills by providing status on many conference calls.
