Here are my contributions to the creation of the technical proposals, to the external allocations and to the internal tasks of the department.
Proposals:
Insurance company:
The main problems of the Accounting System were identified with success. Emergency actions were taken in order to fix some of the more critical accounts. We elaborated a proposal for the correction of the problem and we provided recommendations of future improvements and technological updates
Bank institution:
I analyzed which applications had to be migrated to the new open source operating system. I analyzed the dependences that each application had of the operational system layer and the effort necessary to adapt these dependences to the existent functionalities of the new operating system.
I helped identifying the infrastructure of equipments, software licenses and number of necessary people to migrate the applications. I identified the dependences among the tasks and I generated the schedule of the migration project.
I helped writing the technical terms of the contract to acquire support for the new operational system. It had to be configured according to the customer security requisites.
I helped identifying the system that had to be included in the integration solution. For each one of the systems I analyzed the existence of pre-build connectors within the product chosen. For the ones that there was not a pre-build connector I had to analyze the amount of different types of information being exchanged in order to estimate the necessary effort to implement the new connectors.
I helped validating the proposal technical terms, mainly regarding the connectivity between the companies. This is because there were several customer's applications that had to be accessed during the development. Also, there were security requirements that had to be followed to implement a link between the two companies.
I attended several meetings with many members of the project and employees of the customer company. I attended meetings that covered detailed subjects that affected the sub-contracted companies to accomplish the implementation and other high level meetings the affect the project management. I wrote the minutes of the meetings that I attended. I analyzed the work products being generated such as specifications of use cases, class diagrams and sequence diagrams among others. I wrote a document containing my opinions regarding the quality of the use cases, the sequence diagrams, the class diagrams, the use of object orientation concepts, the quality of the generated code, the support tools, the test methodology used, the standards adopted, the processes/methodology and of the chosen architecture.The evaluation that I received for my performance in this initiative and the report that I wrote and that was incorporate to the final report can be found here: .The following products can be found here: the kick-off presentation document, the meetings schedule and the final audit conclusions document: .
