Lessons learned
The data gathering phase and the requirements control was extremely valuable for me. I had already accomplished this phase before in the PPS project. However, this project was in a different area. I learned a lot about the technical part of this telecommunication multi-national company.
The scope control was other activity that I learned a lot. I had to maintain the customer's expectations and at the same time maintain ourselves within the contracted limits.
Another good experience was the research that I did to find a technique that would solve the channel availability calculation problem. This task was a very gratifying experience because it combines the theoretical area of computer science with practical application.
